The 2013 Teen Choice Awards nominees may’ve been the talk of yesterday, but it’s the celebrities who scored nods at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards that are the topic of today.

Teen.com favorites like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez each snagged one nomination for herself, while Miley Cyrus doubled their count. Justin Bieber managed to get on the list — but only for being the featured artist on will.i.am‘s “#thatPOWER.” But at least another Justin — of the Timberlake variety — caught a major break with a whopping six nominations. Noticeably absent from the 2013 ceremony is One Direction. The band created three music videos from its Take Me Home album — for “Live While We’re Young,” “Little Things” and “Kiss You” — but got no love from the awards show that gave the lads three trophies last year. For more of this year’s honorees, check out the entire list below!

Miley Cyrus got a nomination for best female video? Like what? I’m not making fun of Miley or anyone associated with the video, but it seems like someone filmed it at the nut house.

Hoping Taylor wins at least one of the awards for I Knew You Were Trouble. That video was incredibly unique especially for her usual video style.
