Even though Bella Thorne‘s Disney Channel show Shake It Up is ending after three seasons, it looks like she’s been busier than ever! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has joined the cast of the upcoming big screen adaptation of the popular children’s book, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. (One of our faves!)

In the movie, she’ll play the girlfriend of one of Alexander’s “cool” older brothers. In case you were never read this book, it’s about a young boy named Alexander — who will be played by newcomer Ed Oxenbould – who just has a plain bad day. He gets gum in his hair, trips on a skateboard, finds out he has a cavity at the dentist, has to eat lima beans for dinner — among other things.

Taking on the role of Alexander’s parents will be Crazy, Stupid, Love. star Steve Carrell, and Jennifer Garner from The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It’s expected to hit theaters on October 10, 2014.

In addition to this, Bella signed on with Hollywood Records, will star in the movie Blended with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, and is also starring in an indie film titled Home Invasion. Oh, and did we mention her book deal?!
