According to Us Weekly, the stars of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, who’ve been dating since summer 2012, recently called it quits, but “remain very good friends.” It adds that they’ve “been really good about doing the press tour together for their movie. They were able to stay friendly.”
This doesn’t come as a surprise to those who’ve been avidly following Jamily (like us), as Jamie was spotted kissing model Zina Charkoplia last month. The duo also dodged the question of dating last week on Good Day Philadelphia, with Jamie throwing his hand up and turning away from the host of the show. (Though, they probably would’ve answered quite similarly if they were still a couple, considering Lily has openly said that she’s never felt “the need to comment directly on it.”)
Just this week, we interviewed Lily and asked for her advice when it comes to love. Her response: “It takes being a really strong person to take care of yourself before you can take care of somebody else. I think you could learn so much from somebody else, but at the end of the day, you really have to feel comfortable within yourself in order to give yourself to someone else. You may find that with one person — you may learn different things about yourself from different people — and everybody that comes into your life comes into it for different reasons whether it’s to teach you something, or for you to stay with that person.”
Although they’re no longer an item, you can still catch Jamie and Lily together on the big screen in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones on August 21, as well as the upcoming sequel, which begins shooting this fall. Until then, leave your questions for them and the rest of the TMI cast here — we’ll be interviewing them at the junket!
