Luke Benward Joins the Cast of ‘Ravenswood’

There’s been another addition to the cast of the highly anticipated ABC Family show Ravenswood! According to Just Jared Jr., Luke Benward has joined the cast of the Pretty Little Liars spin-off as a recurring character named Dillon. Not too many details about the show are known, but as far as we know, he’s got good intentions.

His character is the boyfriend of Olivia — played by newcomer Merritt Patterson — is described as “good looking, loyal and sweet small-town American teen.” Also, he’ll be helping his GF through a “recent rough time.” This all makes sense, since Olivia’s character is described as a “former prom queen who is struggling with a recent fall from grace.”

You might recognize Luke from a number of Disney projects as he starred in the 2008 Original Movie Minutemen, and also appeared on a number of episodes of Good Luck Charlie.

Filming on the show began in New Orleans in July, with others stars such as PLL’s own Tyler Blackburn, former Jonas star Nicole Anderson, and Brett Dier rounding out the cast.

We’ll get our first real look at all these characters on PLL‘s annual Halloween episode airing in October, which will then lead into Ravenswood‘s pilot.
