Filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past is over (as evidenced by Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult at the wrap party), but that doesn’t mean Jenn’s planning on ditching talk of her costume anytime soon.

In an interview with SciFiNow, the 23-year-old Oscar-winner bluntly says of Mystique’s fresh look, “I’m naked. But when I do get to wear clothes, I love the ’70s outfits.” (FYI, the film takes place 10 years after X-Men: First Class.)

As seen in the first behind-the-scenes shot of the actress, her character’s a darker shade of blue than in the first film in the franchise, making her look more like Rebecca Romijn‘s version in the X-Men trilogy that originated in 2000. What you don’t see is that J.Law’s wearing a bodysuit this time around, rather than being completely covered in body paint.

Jenn adds, “Some of the Mystique look is a little different… But she’s different in this film too. She was struggling — like a lot of normal humans — with the way she looked, and she was covered up a lot in the first movie, but this time she is Mutant and proud.”
