College Removes Pendulum Statue After Students Reenact Miley’s “Wrecking Ball”

RCAControversy must be Miley Cyrus' middle name because that's exactly what she's causing everywhere nowadays. The latest location: a Michigan college.

Students at Grand Valley State University attempted to recreate the 20-year-old's scantily clad "Wrecking Ball" music video performance atop the facility's pendulum statue, which is comprised of a 42-inch steel ball hanging on a 50-foot cable.

According to Total Frat Move, "After several naked Vines imitating Miley Cyrus, Grand Valley State University has taken down the pendulum structure better known as the GV Wrecking Ball," which was a campus landmark for roughly 18 years.

However, Complex is reporting that students are now in protest because "their right to recreate Miley's actions in the nude using a famous campus landmark is being infringed upon." #ReinstallTheBall has since become a Trending Topic on Twitter.
