It's an early Christmas dream come true. After 8-year-old Ryan Suffern penned a selfless letter to Santa — in which he asks for help in getting the kids at school to stop bullying his twin sister, Amber — he soon became a viral Internet sensation, capturing the hearts of everyone that read his message, including… Big Time Rush!
Half of the request in his note to St. Nick asked, "Is it against the rules to give gifts early? Can you ask Big Time Rush to come to Amber's b-day party? It will make her so happy. If you can't get them to come, just get her everything she asks for."
Well, Ryan — wish: granted! Since the band was tapped to perform at Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play over the weekend, the foursome, along with the help of Good Morning America, flew the twins and their family in from North Carolina to enjoy the festivities as VIPs.
Carlos Pena tells Huffington Post of their encounter with the young boy, "Ryan is so exceptional. He literally wrote that he didn't want anything — no cars, no nothing — just please, help my sister out. For an 8-year-old to be like that? To me, that's so inspiring."
