Young Celebrities Wearing Vulgar Clothing. Is It Wrong?

We can talk and talk and talk ’til we go blue in the face about how celebrities influence their fans. It’s just inevitable. Which is why it’s a little worrisome that some young stars have found ways to express themselves in such questionable and vulgar fashions. Most recently, Miley Cyrus.

While it’s no surprise that the “Wrecking Ball” singer took it upon herself to wear provocative attire — considering all of this — we’re wondering if she took it one step too far. In a Twitter post with the caption “@justinbieber FO LIFE,” the 20-year-old depicts a photo of herself wearing a tank top with Justin Bieber‘s face plastered on it, smoking (fake) weed and the words “REEFER” and “FEVER” across the top and bottom, respectively. The girl’s openly admitted that she likes marijuana and Molly, so we guess wearing clothing that promotes drug use should be expected?

This reminds us of those times Zayn Malik (depicted below) and Justin Bieber wore those ‘F*ck You’ shirts. (Though, Justin’s was at least bleeped out slightly; not Zayn’s.) When the pictures of the two were first released, fans exclaimed everything from “This is just one reason they shouldn’t have young fans” to “So, where can you buy a shirt like this??”

So now, we ask of you, is it inappropriate for celebrities with such young and impressionable fans to wear such vulgar clothing? Or do you just see it as a way for them to express themselves? No opinion’s wrong, so leave your thoughts in the comments!

I know kids that spaz at the thought of 1D/Miley and know all the radio edit versions of their songs so they really need to chill with the crazy stuff. Do that in private. You know the influence you have on kids. I was listening to David Banner when I was little. I can’t explain to you how that impacted me.

People should be allowed to wear whatever they want no matter who they are it is a form of self expression and if people don’t like or agree with it they should just ignore it, and no matter what age a fan is people forget they do have their own opinions and choices and whatever they choose to do its their choice. If you don’t like what someone has to say state you point if you really want and move on, the end of the world is not going to come in the form of Miley Cyrus chosen t shirt of the day
