Even on their way out of the game, the members of The Wanted aren't prepared to let their, uhh, feelings about One Direction go unsaid. In an interview with The Sun, Max George opens up on the demise of TW, claiming, "One Direction [is] a phenomenon that no one else can compete with. They've taken over the market. We have our own fans, who we love, but we couldn't stop things from happening."
This comes just days after the announcement that the Word of Mouth tour will be the boy band's last one
ever for an indefinite amount of time "as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavors following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour."
In other words, they're going "on a break." But we all know what that means… What do you think of the latest reasoning? Do you think 1D's responsible for The Wanted's split? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below, or on our One Direction message board!
