Miley Cyrus Parts with Puppy Moonie, “Too Soon” After Death of Dog Floyd

by: on | in Celebrities | 2 Comments

As you’ve probably heard, self-proclaimed dog lover Miley Cyrus lost another one of her beautiful canines, Floyd, earlier this month (reportedly to a coyote). Days, or pretty much hours later, her mother presented her with a new gift: a puppy named Moonie.

The 21-year-old “We Can’t Stop” singer tweeted, “my mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses.”

However, less than 24 hours after introducing the world to the new addition, she wrote, “So torn. I love having little Moonie cuddle w me and Mary Jane but just don’t know if I’m ready to love again.”

Now, just a little over a week later, Miley came to a decision — she can no longer keep Moonie under her care:

I lost my baby boy King on valentines day this year, he went in for surgery to remove some stuff he ate. When he came out of surgery the docs said he was fine, and then they moved him from the surgery room the recovery room and that his heart stop. I miss him so much, so I know what it feels like to loose a family member (pet to others). Some days I think I want another puppy, but then other days, I know I am not ready. I still have my other pitbull, but I got him when he was already close to a year old, and he doesn’t seem to know how to play. Even though King was only 2 years old, he always acted like a little 8 week old puppy. He was my goofball, its been 2 months today, still not ready for another puppy, even though some days I miss having a puppy, but I know it is not the right time. So she is right about that part, it takes time to get over the loss of your family member ( or pet to others). My condolences go out to her.
