Okay, here's the situation as we know it, folks. According to PopWrapped's co-founder, Zachary Jaydon, Naya Rivera "will NOT be appearing on the Glee, Season 5 finale as originally planned." More rumors spread that she was fired, and would not be returning for the dramedy's sixth season. This led to chaos — and a trending topic on Twitter, natch — as fans could not believe the news. (We didn't want to either, but where there's smoke, there's fire, you know?)
Naya's been no help, tweeting "SO excited to watch Glee tonight! #doowop #shirleymaclaine #fancy" after the buzz began to spread. Instead, a rep for the 27-year-old actress released the following statement, "Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story." But the PopWrapped guy's sticking to his guns:
Sources close to Glee's production have also DEBUNKED rumors that Lea Michele was responsible for the decision to end Naya's run on the show— Zachary Jaydon (@ZacharyJaydon) April 29, 2014
Sources are also telling me that Naya's trailer has already been COMPLETELY emptied, & that her Pass to get on the Paramount Lot revoked.— Zachary Jaydon (@ZacharyJaydon) April 29, 2014
If the story Zachary Jaydon's spreading is inaccurate, can't Naya's team sue or something? And if it's true, then why would they deny it? We're all gonna find out the truth when the finale and sixth season air, so… Yeah. #confused
Glee adds *SPOILER* to its Season 5 cast!
