There is no such thing as the perfect body. Every body — bumps, bruises and everything in between — is already the perfect body. Which, of course, means that there is no such thing as the single most-desirable one, seeing how every shape, size and stature is made-to-love. We hope that you already know that, because we’ve already somehow managed to let old Hollywood slip through the cracks, and we can’t afford to lose any more valuable students!
That’s right, Hollywood apparently doesn’t believe that MOST bodies are worthy. There isn’t some Hollywood spokesperson whose unfortunate job it is to go around and clandestinely whisper in the ears of passersby that, on behalf of their client, the passerby’s body is a no-go. It’s just that the proof is in the (low-calorie) pudding. As in, every time we turn around, there are perfectly talented celebrities either being turned away at the gates or forced to claw their way to the top of a fat-shaming industry. It’s been going on forever, but one can, in an especially optimistic mood, hope that these 13 gorg celebrities who were told they were too fat for fame will be among the last:
Jen's breakout role was as a near-starving teenager, and, because she's got the body of an actual, non-food deprived young adult, she was on the receiving end of a lot of "not skinny enough" comments. She even had the horrible experience of having someone show her near-nude photos of herself, tell her that she'd be fired if she didn't lose weight and suggest that she use the photos as diet motivation.
Growing up underneath the glare of the Hollywood spotlight can prove to present lots of difficulties for a young girl, and body image issues is in one of the top spots.
In fact, for a while there, Demi used her fame to speak about her recovery from her mental and body image issues, which partially stemmed from Hollywood's constant pressure on her to be thin.

Kate, who's got a fuller figure than your average "straight" model hasn't been given a break, when it comes to people making snide remarks about her body. It's as if to say, "How DARE she be a bikini model, when she doesn't have a bikini body?!" Newsflash: every body is a bikini body if you put it inside of one.
Being a part of the band of sisters that comes with being a Kardashian-Jenner brings along its fair share of body-shaming. Or, you know, all type of shaming. But it's even more extreme for Khloe, who happens to be taller and a bit thicker than her sisters.
But, as for the critics, Khloe knows that "no matter what shape, size, color, whatever...haters gonna hate!"
It's such a shame that, even though Rebel has proven herself to be quite funny, so many people continue to harp on the numbers on her scale. Although, we've got to say that it's even more unfortunate that Rebel can't seem to let the Fat Jokes go for more than a few minutes, herself, sometimes.
Early on in her modeling career, Chrissy recalls a certain Forever 21 firing her on the spot because she was apparently "too fat" and needed to return to her agency "get her measurements taken". We can only imagine how mortifying and scarring that is to experience, so she's got good reason to dislike the brand.

If there's pressure on young models to be thin, imagine the pressure that Ireland felt, as, not only a burgeoning model in her own right, but the daughter of Kim Basinger!
Ireland took to her Tumblr to blast the gossips, telling them that calling such a young girl fat is cruel and, especially, that she's been gifted with a different, but equally great, body than her mom.
Gabby has been fielding biting commentary on her figure, beginning with her role in Precious and never actually seeming to come to an end.
However, we wish that we had her around every time that someone said something mean about us. Because there's no way that we could come up with a response as flawless as the one that she tweeted following a particularly harsh backlash against her Golden Globes red carpet photos last year: "To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK"

Despite her being a powerhouse of a singer, Adele has suffered from criticism from people like Karl Lagerfeld and Joan Rivers about her weight. We guess it's a good thing she's got a can-do (see: eff you) attitude and knows that she's here to "make music for the ears, not the eyes"!

Kelly made headlines all over when she famously slimmed down a few years back. But what REALLY should've been catching everyone's attention was how, according to Kelly, people used to call her "a big, fat whore." OMG!

America felt the need to let the world know that she isn't down to skip meals in order to fit some warped beauty standard, because, according to her, "starving yourself is not beautiful." She embraces the fact that she's curvy (her words!), so we wish everyone else would, too.

Mindy recently joked that people are often so surprised that she could dare to be "so fat" and still be so confident. It's funny, but it really sucks when you realize that this is her actual day-to-day and that people are idiots.
A film critic once referred to Melissa as a "female hippo," no doubt out of a place of cruelty. Melissa says, though, that while it crushed her (and why wouldn't it?), it also gave her a good, hearty laugh with her family afterward.
