It’s been three years since Wizards of Waverly Place went off the air and there is still a giant void in our TV watching schedules because of it. WoWP is one of Disney Channel’s greatest shows of all time and we totally stand by that statement. For starters it brought Selena Gomez into our lives, which let’s be honest, was the best gift ever.
Plus, the series was all about magic. Come on, there was magic! What more do you need? Sure you learned a few bad life lessons from the show, but overall it was totally epic. So what are the actors who played the Russo family up to these days? Kicking butt in Hollywood, that’s what. See what your fave WOWP actor is doing now by checking out the gallery below.
After playing the oldest Russo kid, Justin, David has continued to act. He has been in a few short films in addition to Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and Little Boy. TV wise, the California native played Ted Mosby's son on the hit series How I Met Your Mother. The 26-year-old actor has also been keeping busy with his writing and directing gigs. After writing two episodes for WOWP, David has written the short film Catch and directed both Boo! and Catch, which is totally impressive.

What hasn't Selena done since she stopped playing Alex Russo? Seriously, Sel is on fire! Acting wise, the 23-year-old star switched to film and has starred in movies like Spring Breakers, Rudderless and Behaving Badly in addition to voicing Mavis in Hotel Transylvania. In 2013 Selena dropped her Stars Dance album and in July 2015 her newest single, "Good For You" hit the airwaves. Plus, she starred in her BFF Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video as Arsyn. Basically, Selena has become a total rock star at life.

Jake T. Austin
Jake has had a ridiculously awesome career and he's only 20 years old! After leaving his role as Max Russo behind him, he voiced a couple of really cool characters for films. He was in Khumba and Rio 2. Plus, he starred in Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn before heading back to TV. In 2013 he landed his most recent role as Jesus Foster on the hit ABC Family series The Fosters.

We will always love Jennifer as the honorary Russo kid and Alex's BFF Harper Finkle. Since her days on the Disney Channel show, Jennifer has kept herself busy with numerous guest star roles on shows like Body of Proof and Generator Rex. She has also starred in Grave Secrets and the TV movie, High School Possession. The 22-year-old actress’s biggest role post WOWP was starring on Deadtime Stories as a recurring character. She also modeled for the charity book Project Mermaid, where she dressed up like a mermaid and looked gorgeous!

Maria has had a very long career, way before she was our favorite Disney Channel mom. She starred on The Proud Family and Justice League before landing her role as Theresa Russo. After that role she went on to star in a few TV movies and shorts before landing back on TV. She was recently on ABC’s Cristela as Daniela, but sadly that show only lasted a season. We can't wait to see what Maria does next.

The father of the Russo clan has been kicking butt in Hollywood since the Disney Channel series ended. David has been a guest star on numerous shows as well as the star of a few TV movies. He voiced Lucky in Lucky Dog and starred in Abner, the Invisible Dog and Sox. The California native is currently working on three new film projects including, A World Away and Last Best Summer Ever.
