High School Musical Star Mourns the Tragic Death of Best Friend

by: on | in Celebrity News | No Comments

There’s a reason why they call dogs man’s best friend. Zac Efron is currently going through a devastating loss, as his Australian Shepherd pooch named Puppy recently passed away.

The former Disney Channel star remembered the pet, which he got for Christmas back in 2011, with a heartwarming memorial on Instagram.

“Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend,” the actor wrote. “I’ll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron. ‘Felt hog tied ever since my dog died/ He lived to 84, damn, that’s a long ride/ I know he up there he just sit and he wait/ I’ll be racing up the stairs I’mma get to the gate singing’ -Chance the Rapper”

As we mentioned the 28-year-old first introduced the world to his furry companion back in April 2012, but welcomed him to his family a few months prior.

If Puppy was truly a puppy when he became Zac’s sidekick, he would’ve only been about four years old when he died. We have no idea what happened, or why the pooch passed away, but no matter the case, losing a pet is truly one of the hardest things for a person to go through.

Our thoughts are with the Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates star at this difficult time. RIP Puppy Efron!
