2016 has been quite the year for Jena Malone. First, she shocked everyone when she announced that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ethan DeLorenzo. Then just a few short months later, the happy couple welcomed a son, Ode Mountain DeLorenzo Malone, to the world. But the good news for the 31-year-old actress didn’t stop there!
The Hunger Games star rounded out a year of excitement with the announcement that she had her longtime love are officially engaged to be married. Jena shared the happy news in an Instagram of her 3-month-old baby featuring her gorgeous engagement ring in the background with the following caption:
“One day, after all the youthful rushing quiets in your heart, you realize there’s nothing more you need. Nothing more you want to achieve than to build your life around love. And oh the things we will get to build together. I couldn’t be happier. I love you Ethan. #isaidyes”
The actress’ photographer fiance also shared an ~artsy~ version of the photo on his own Instagram page, simply writing, “beautiful.”
Jena obviously loves a lot of things about her husband-to-be, but just before she gave birth, she gushed about her favorite things about the man.
“Thank you for being the living, breathing definition of a true partner. Your sacrifice and dedication to the ones you love. Your patience and humor. Your warm heart. [You’re] the best man I’ve ever met and I can’t wait to watch you become what you were destined to become, an amazing father. We love you as big as mountains!!!”
