When Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin broke up a couple weeks ago, fans had tons of questions — What caused the split? Would they remain friends? Who would have to move out of the house they were only sharing for a few months? Well, the 18-year-old actress revealed that the British cutie would get to keep the house, meaning that she had to pack her bags and find somewhere else to live. Ugh — we can’t even imagine.
But the Shake it Up star’s awkward move-out experience definitely wasn’t the first of its kind. In fact, many other former Disney Channel actors made the decision to shack up with their boyfriend or girlfriend, but ultimately paid the price when things crumbled and they broke up. Seeing as Justin Bieber was not very subtle about his relationship with Selena Gomez, we thought we knew everything there was to know about Jelena. But last September, the Biebs shocked us all when he revealed a HUGE secret about his life with the "Kill Em With Kindness" singer.
"I moved in with my girlfriend when I was 18," he told Complex magazine. "[I] Started my own life with her; it was a marriage kind of thing. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age. But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered."
Despite (most likely) being engaged again, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth apparently aren't living in the same house — they're simply next-door neighbors! But while they might not be ready to share their home just yet, they were okay with it back when they were engaged in 2012 and when they separated in 2013 the Aussie was forced to back his bags and move out of the California home they shared.
Although they had been dating for less than a year at the time, Bella and her then-beau Gregg Sulkin decided to move in together in March 2016. "Look who I get to come home to," the 24-year-old captioned a picture of his teenage love standing on their staircase. When the pair announced their breakup a couple weeks ago, the 18-year-old confirmed that Gregg would be keeping the house, while she gets to keep their pets.
More than a year and a half before Demi and Wilmer Valderrama announced their breakup, someone heard the "Confident" crooner gushing about living with her much-older love.
"I overheard Demi telling the salesclerk [at Urban Home and Decor] that she wanted 'her and her boyfriend's home' to be warm and comfy," a source told Radar Online. "She said she loves reds and earth tones and wanted their bedroom to be romantic, dark and passionate. She also bought a ton of candles because she said that Wilmer loves candles."
This info was never confirmed, but seeing as Dilmer spent basically ALL their time together while they were a couple, it wouldn't be surprising.
Although Joe has dated a lot of girls throughout his time in the spotlight, the one he was perhaps the most serious with was Blanda Eggenschwiler. The pair was together for almost two years and even shared an apartment for a majority of their relationship in the SoHo district of New York City.
While Nick and Olivia Culpo never actually spoke about sharing a house together while they were dating, fans figured it out fairly quickly. The former couple frequently posted shots together in the same home location, and fans' assumptions were confirmed after they heard NJ's song, "Chainsaw," which he calls the "most personal song [he's] ever written."
Basically, the tune is about how Nick never wanted to be in the house he shared with Olivia after they broke up, because everything in it reminded him of her. Even though the former Jonas Brother knew he "could put a sign in the lawn" and sell the home, he didn't want to because he couldn't let her go officially.
