There Jennifer Lawrence goes, putting her foot in her mouth again. We love the girl and everything, but sometimes (most of the time) she doesn’t think before she speaks. That’s why she’s in so much trouble right now, particularly among the people of Hawaii.
Recently, while on the press tour for her new film, Passengers, with Chris Pratt, the 26-year-old Oscar-winner got herself into hot water for what many have referred to as a racist or, at the very least, culturally insensitive, act. During the filming of The Hunger Games in Hawaii, she said that, despite the crew telling her not to sit on what were considered to be culturally sacred rocks — as in, “you’re not supposed to expose your genitalia to them” — she did it anyway. She explained how she rubbed her butt on them to relieve an itch, pulled one of the rocks loose and almost killed a sound person because it rolled down the mountain!
“It was a huge dramatic deal,” Jennifer said during a recent visit on The Graham Norton Show. “And all the Hawaiians were like, ‘Oh my God, it’s the curse!’ And I’m in the corner, going, ‘I’m your curse. I wedged it loose with my ass.'”
She joked about the situation, and received laughs from those around her, but a lot of people on the Internet didn’t find it funny:
it doesn't get more white and evil than Jennifer Lawrence. like. she really thought this was funny…. pic.twitter.com/mKL8WGBk3l

"Hey Hawaiians, I scratched my ass with your sacred stones, broke one, almost killed a man, and 😂 at your spirituality."-Jennifer Lawrence https://t.co/1ihjGuddVy

Thankfully, Jen acknowledged her misguided words and apologized on Facebook:
Here’s to thinking before speaking in 2017!
This isn’t the first time people said awful things about Jennifer Lawrence:
Although never confirmed, rumor had it that Miley totally took a dig at the Oscar-winning actress via text to ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth after the infamous nude photo scandal last summer.
Reports say, "After Miley heard about and looked at Jennifer nude leaks, she texted Liam. One of the issues that had broken them up was Liam thinking that Miley wasn't acting respectably and was putting too much of herself out there wearing skin-baring clothes. She texted him a few times, including a message that said, 'Your buddy's pics just came out and she showed so much more of her body than I ever have' and 'I don't think that's classy taking racy photos like that."
Supposedly, during an interview with Kode Magazine, the Mean Girls star exclaimed, "[Jennifer's] so fake and, I'm sorry, I'm not going to f*** for roles." Umm... what the what?
LiLo's reps attempted to repair the damage, saying, "The interview was completed via email. We have no comprehension on why a journalist would fabricate this content and distribute it in such an irresponsible way."
However, the Editor-in-Chief of Kode countered, "I have sworn testimonies that it took place that back up everything."
Considering no lawsuit took place against the publication, it's a safe bet that the interview did occur. Perhaps Lindsay just... forgot?
While on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, J.Law recalled a party in which she and the late-night talk-show host planned to ask J.Lo to dance. Only Jimmy ended up backing out, so, as Jennifer recalls, "I do it, he's gone, and it's just me looking at J.Lo, going, 'Dance with me!' She was like, 'I think I'm just gonna observe.' [To Jimmy] You made me look like a freak in front of J.Lo! Do you know what that feels like?"
The diss then made its rounds on the web until J.Lo visited Jimmy herself and put an end to the madness, saying, "[Jennifer Lawrence] was like, 'Let's go dance,' and I was like, 'No, I'm good right here.' But I didn't mean it like, 'I don't want to dance with you.' I just meant, like, 'It's so crowded in here. Let's stay right here.'"
We wouldn't exactly take this one at face value, considering the supposed diss comes from the ever-reliable tabloid The National Enquirer. Nevertheless, here's what the outlet claimed to have went down: Jennifer Aniston believes that the Hunger Games star, along with Emma Stone and Keira Knightly, dress like "old ladies in training" and wishes that they would "sex it up." Like we said, don't take it at face value.
When Jennifer famously fell at the 2013 Academy Awards, everyone found it to be endearing. It was, like, seriously, poor girl. The following year, though, when she fell at the same ceremony, Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner Jared was NOT having it.
In an interview, the Dallas Buyers Club actor said, "You know, I'm starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act." Granted, he seemed to be joking at the time, but still; those words stemmed from somewhere, you know?
Shots were fired when Jennifer Lawrence took aim at Fashion Police during an interview with Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer, saying, "Shows like the Fashion Police and things like that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on things [that don't matter]. They put values in all the things that are wrong and [show] that it’' okay to just point at people and call them ugly and call them fat and they call it fun."
But, Joan, may she rest in peace, took it to heart, tweeting, "It's funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week. But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we're picking on all those poor, helpless actors."
She added, "WAIT! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance." Ouch.
Chloe's the most recent celebrity to tear down J.Law. In an interview with V magazine, she stated, "I love when a movie star is a great movie star. I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star. I don't think I can be that, or just be an actor. I don't think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she's herself, she's really cute. Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass."
