A lot of celebrity couples experience their first kiss on set; sometimes, that particular moment is what makes the pair realize that those feelings stirring inside are far from professional. What makes it even more special is that it’s something they can look back on, as it was, most likely, filmed (and put on a huge screen for millions of people to see, making it a little awkward, because it was far from a private moment, but eh).
Channing Tatum reflected on doing that with Step Up. “[Jenna Dewan & I] were basically together on the movie,” he said in a 2014 interview with Redbook. “It’s interesting now, because we can watch it and see; we can go, ‘Oh, wow, that was actually our first real kiss.’ As soon as the movie wrapped, we went back to L.A. and were together, and together ever since — never broken up.”
Emma Roberts & Evan Peters can also relive their first kiss if they want… but it doesn’t sound like they would. “There’s a party scene at the end of the movie [Adult World],” Evan said during an appearance on Chelsea Lately. “And the director’s like, ‘Evan, kiss Emma,’ and it wasn’t scripted and I got really awkward and really weird and forgot what to do, and then I kissed her. It was good, but it was super awkward and so I felt weird about it. So I was like, ‘That was like kissing Cloris Leachman.’ And she was super pissed off.”
What makes that moment probably equal parts special and awkward is when that first kiss between the pair occurs on the very first day of shooting. Like, “Hey, nice to meet you. Let’s make out.” Awk! But, hey, it all worked out, right? At least for a little while. Doesn’t matter the setting — a movie, a TV show, a music video — all these co-stars shared their first kiss on the very first day of shooting, and actually decided to give love a try afterward:
Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth
You can thank The Last Song for Miam. Without the Nicholas Sparks book-turned-film, Miley & Liam may have never even met!
From the beginning, the two had to get pretty comfortable with each other. "We turned up on set the very first day and originally it was just a scene where we were running through the water and splashing and having fun," the Aussie hottie told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "And halfway through the scene, the director, Julie Anne [Robinson], she yelled, 'Kiss!' And we got thrown into a kiss on the boat."
"It was good," he added, "'cause, you know, [you] get the first one out of the way, and it was fine."
MORE than 'fine,' we'd guess, considering they got engaged after filming wrapped.
Taylor Lautner & Taylor Swift
Director Garry Marshall's known for forcing his actors to take on intimate scenes from the get-go; we've heard this from Emma Roberts & Carter Jenkins before and, apparently, he openly admitted it about Taylor-Squared's days on set, too.
In an interview with E! News, the late director confessed that he had the two Taylors shoot their smooch scene from Valentine's Day first. "I always start with the kissing scenes," he revealed at the Hollywood premiere. "The first thing they did was kiss."
"The first three were nice," he continued. "By the fourth I think they started going together. I don't know what the hell happened, but somewhere in the fifth or sixth take they were dating."

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson
After Kristen had chemistry tested — and kissed — three other guys earlier in the day, it was time for her to do the same with RPattz... on Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke's own mattress.
"They came to my house — they had just met," the director recalled to MTV News. "I said, 'I know you just met, but I need you to do this scene. We're gonna do it in my bedroom, on the bed — and you're really gonna kiss.'"
"He was a bit nervous," she continued. "because suddenly you've just met a girl and you're going to start making out with the person — and someone is filming." (Catherine was capturing test footage on film to show the studio, FYI. Nothing perverted.) "He was really wild on the first take — use your imagination."
Alex Pettyfer & Dianna Agron
There's a reason why the blond(e) hotties dated each other so early on in the shooting process for I Am Number Four. In an interview with Elle Canada, the Glee alum revealed that she and the English babe had to shoot their makeout scenes at the beginning of their filming schedule.
"[The kissing is] what came first!" she exclaimed. "For some reason — actually, I kind of have a theory on why that is."
"Kissing scenes typically come first or very near the beginning of filming," she said. "I think it's because if things go terribly wrong, people might not like each other and it might be really difficult to make that believable."
Huh, never thought about that before... but it makes perfect sense!

Taylor Kinney & Lady Gaga
It was far from love at first sight for the once-engaged couple.
During a Watch What Happens Live interview with Andy Cohen, the former Vampire Diaries star confessed about his not-so-great first meeting with Mother Monster on the set of her "You and I" music video, "I showed up and [producers] said, 'Oh, this is the idea.' And I said, 'Okay, just let me do my thing.'"
"And I remember I went up, and we're rolling, and I kissed her and she didn't expect it," he divulged. "They cut, and she slapped me." Ah!
"And then it was just awkward," he admitted. "And the next take, I just did it again and then she didn't slap me. She didn't slap me then."
"We had a good time," the actor continued. "I think there was chemistry. It was a late shoot. We were shooting until 4 or 5 in the morning — something like that. We exchanged information. A few weeks went by and we kept in touch and then that’s that."

Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher
The pair had only just met when their first That '70s Show kiss was about to be filmed. Little did he know that it was also her first kiss of all time!
"I was like, 'Oh, he's so cute, it's the Calvin Klein model!'" Mila confessed to People in 2001. "Then I was like, 'I have to kiss him?' I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him."
"I'm the first guy she kissed? Oh my god, I had no idea!" Ashton said, also in 2001. "I'm so glad I didn't know that or it would've been too much pressure."
"I was so nervous," he added. "She acted so cool. She seemed as if she'd done it a thousand times. I was the one with the butterflies in my stomach. I mean, here's this little girl and I have to kiss her. It was nerve-racking."
Now the two are married with two babies. D'aw.
Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott
Things went a lot further than kissing the first day Tori & Dean met. Although they were both married at the time — Tori to Charlie Shanian and Dean to Mary Jane Eustace — they were quick to get down and dirty.
"I mean, he was married," she confessed on an episode of True Tori. "We had sex the first night we met." Meaning, Day 1 of the shoot for their Lifetime movie, Mind Over Murder.
"It wasn't like, 'Oh, just get your rocks off, have sex with someone just to have sex,' you know?" she explained. "It was a conscious decision, like, fell head over heels for you."
He's gone on to cheat on Tori a whole heck of a lot of times, but she's still with him and is pregnant with their fifth child.
