Like many other teen TV faves, Teen Wolf is coming to an end this year… but you can bet your a** that the showrunners are going to make the final episodes as epic as possible. Just look at what they pulled off on the Season 6 winter finale!
ICYMI last night, the moment that’s been six years in the making actually happened on the MTV television series: Stydia kissed!!! Sure, they’ve locked lips before, but this time it was soooo different. In the words of
Mieczyslaw Stiles Stilinski, “Everything’s changed.” (Cue the Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran tune!)
It wasn’t a simple cheek smooch:
Or a lip-lock to sooth a panic attack (though, that’s when Lydia realized her feelings for Stiles):
This was a moment between two people who love each other:
Holland Roden, who brings Lydia Martin to life on the small screen, tried to deflect from what we knew was coming:
But it doesn’t matter ’cause Lydia finally came to her senses:
And then THIS HAPPENED:
Dylan O’Brien is the PERFECT Stiles, but imagine if he landed these roles, too:
Peter Parker, Spider-Man Reboot
Fans freaked the eff out when they heard that Marvel was doing yet another Spider-Man reboot — and that Dylan was the frontrunner for the web-slinging superhero! However, despite all of the Internet panic, the Maze Runner star broke our hearts when saying, "Professionally, I haven't heard anything about it. I've only heard from, like, [rumors] online...It makes me feel bad because I'm, like, disappointing a big chunk of fans across the nation. You can tell them that it' not true." You're right, Dylan; we were super disappointed! But, to be fair, so was he: "I've always wanted to play Peter Parker, obviously. I feel like any actor my age, that's, like, a big thing." Aw, poor Dyl!

Harry Styles, After
Yes, there was a point when One Direction fan-fiction being made into a film was a thing. But because getting Hazza to play himself on screen was probs gonna be tough, they had to start thinking of the perfect young star to play the singer. Cue Dylan, who was considered — through fan speculation, of course — for the role of Harry Styles! Weird, right? Well, Dylan thought so too! "A horrible English accent, probably similar-yet-worse looks, and I couldn't sing, and I'm probably less cool, too," is how he described himself playing Harry to People's Choice. As much as we love Dylan, we have to admit...We kind of agree on this one. But if he somehow still has a chance of being cast as Harry, Britt Robertson would have to play Taylor Swift!
Scott McCall, Teen Wolf
We all love Dylan as Stiles on Teen Wolf, but could you picture him playing Tyler Posey's character Scott instead? Eh...maybe?? Well, it almost happened! Or, at least, that's the casting Dylan originally went in for. However, he spilled to Seventeen that he "couldn't help but keep wanting to read the Stiles parts [in the script]. I was just like, 'This guy is freaking awesome.' And I knew myself, and how I come off, and I'm way more like Stiles than I am Scott. And I love this freaking character. So I did that." A bold move on his part, but it obviously paid off!
Han Solo, Star Wars Han Solo spin-off
Actors from all areas of the industry lined up to get their spots in the new Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens film. And while Dylan might not have been in the running for that one, tons of fans are supporting his potential casting in a Star Wars spin-off film capturing a younger version of Han Solo. However, at San Diego Comic-Con, Dylan confirmed to fans that everything is just speculation at this point.
"It's so cool because that'll be the dream. I texted [director] Wes [Ball] about it when I read about that movie and I was like, 'Dude, you have to direct this either way,' because Wes is the biggest Star Wars guy ever…but then again it also just gets my hopes up, and then I won't hear about the roles professionally." So you think a Maze Runner-Star Wars director and actor mash-up could actually have a chance at being a thing? We'll see!

Unknown guest star, True Blood
Dylan broke our hearts yet again when told Parade that he's never seen Twilight or The Vampire Diaries, especially since those are two show that are usually linked to his supernatural hit, Teen Wolf. Meanwhile, he did share that he was a "True Blood fan for the first two seasons" and was actually thinking about guest starring at one point! Too bad he never got his spot on the show himself! We would've loved to see that. And we're pretty sure he would have loved it too!
Edgar Frog, The Lost Boys remake
Considering that The Maze Runner has often been compared to the '80s film The Lost Boys, it really comes as no surprise to hear that Dylan is a fan-favorite for the role of Edgar Frog if a remake happens. That being said, there has been no exact word on whether or not another movie will actually happen. We guess we'll just have to see if this fan favorite will ever pan out!
