Once upon a time, Nick and Joe Jonas were two purity ring-wearing Disney Channel stars who couldn’t even think the word sex without Mickey Mouse himself coming down and smiting them for their ~sins~. Now, almost five years after the boys (along with their brother Kevin Jonas) cut all ties with Disney, it’s hard to even remember a time when they weren’t taking their clothes off, simulating intercourse in front of cameras, etc. But they’re not the only celebrities who are open about their sex lives.
In some cases, like with Selena Gomez, the now-adult star admitted to no longer being a virgin, but didn’t give too many details about their first time. In others (*cough*Shia LaBeouf*cough*), however, we feel like we know too MUCH info about their private time. Click through the gallery below to see which DC actors spoke out about losing their virginity:
Selena says she's "not embarrassed" to talk about how she wore a purity ring when she was 13 years old, but she's "also not embarrassed to say that the ring has come off."
"I got [the ring] when I was 13 and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn't for everyone," the "Hands to Myself" singer told the Sunday Times about taking it off when she was dating Justin Bieber. "I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love. There’s such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager — it makes it more difficult."
Throughout his time as a Jonas Brother, Nick (and his famous sibs) wore a purity ring, which symbolized his promise to god to remain celibate until marriage. Flash forward to 2013, when the 24-year-old caused the band to break up, and all previous images of him as a innocent little angel were wiped away completely.
"Am I still a virgin? No. As I said, I'm an adult in all ways. I'm comfortable with who I am," he said on The Wendy Williams Show at the end of 2014.
Joe first revealed that he lost his purity ring (and virginity) at the age of 20 in a Vulture article back in late 2013, but didn't admit that it was to his then-girlfriend Ashley Greene until October 2016. He admitted in a Reddit AMA:
"I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley. You can probably just Google it. It's pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is. It's quite the great story because I didn't have any condoms, so I went to our drummer Jack's room, who was my roommate at the time and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids."
Unlike his brothers, Kevin DID wait until marriage to have sex...but says it was not all it's cracked up to be.
"To be honest about it, sex was not worth the wait...After we did it, I was kind of like, 'That's it?'" The Huffington Post reports.
When Cosmopolitan magazine asked the former Disney queen at what age she lost her virginity, Hilary tried to be subtle, but still made the answer pretty clear.
"I had a 26-year-old boyfriend [Joel Madden]...so everyone can make their own assumptions about what I was doing."
This Even Stevens star's first sexual experience at the age of 18 experience was awkward AF, to say the least.
"For some reason, I was trying to portray myself as a man who had done it many times in the past. I didn't tell the girl I was a virgin," he revealed in a 2009 interview with Playboy magazine. "I was all, 'Don't worry, babe. I'm gonna handle it tonight.' And meanwhile I was shaking in my boots."
The star of Twitches and Adam Housley have been married for almost seven years and tried to wait until they tied the knot to do the deed, but failed...kinda.
"I don't know how to explain this. I'm religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity," Tamera said in a radio interview. "You may not understand this, I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married."
Tia not only waited a long time before losing her virginity to now-husband Cory Hardict ("I lost my virginity three years into dating my husband," she said), but also to do anything remotely sexual.
"My husband and I, we were friends for a whole year before we decided to start dating. And even once we started dating, we waited. I lost my virginity at 25. So we even waited for a while to even get intimate. This works for some people and it doesn't work for some people and it’s OK. That's what I mean by baggage. Know and learn and understand what baggage can you handle and what can you not handle."
Britney once told reporters that she was planning to wait until marriage to have sex, but later revealed that she actually lost her virginity to longtime boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
"It was two years into my relationship with Justin. And I thought he was the one. But I was wrong. I didn't think he was gonna go on Barbara Walters and sell me out," she said in W magazine, referring to JT's 20/20 interview in which he talked about their sex life.
