Back in October, Shay Carl (Butler) made the announcement that he and his famous family, the Shaytards, would be quitting YouTube in March in order to “be a ‘normal’ family who doesn’t have this worldwide YouTube audience.” The 36-year-old man decided to “not be on the Internet” a little earlier, however, because he was (allegedly) caught cheating on his wife AND is a struggling alcoholic.
Sh*t started to hit the fan yesterday when adult webcam performer Aria Nina exposed a series of beyond explicit direct messages the YouTuber sent her for months, starting way back in January. The girl tweeted screenshots to Colette (Katilette) Butler, Shay’s wife, and explained that she did so because “he said [she] was disgusting because [she] said his kid was adorable in a nice normal way.” We won’t show you the extremely NSFW notes, but here’s something else she posted as proof the DMs were really coming from him:

Aria also claims she has videos of the Internet star masturbating.
A few hours after the woman ~exposed~ Shay, he posted a lengthy note on Twitter explaining that alcoholism has “manifested itself back into [his] life,” causing him to “hurt the ones [he] loves most.” While this isn’t necessarily an admission of the cheating claims, the timing is more than coincidental.

We cannot even believe it. Shay and Colette recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary and have five beautiful children together. It seems that the entire Butler family plans to stand by the patriarch’s side as he gets the help he needs, so all we can do is sit back and hope he can fight his demons.
These 6 other YouTube stars were also caught in serious cheating scandals:
The hilarious Jenna Mourey (a.k.a. Jenna Marbles) and her fellow YouTube bae Max NoSleeves dated for four years, but eventually broke up in 201. Because the split was so sudden, fans wanted to know the reason behind the breakup. Eventually, Jenna explained, "Once a cheater always a cheater. We are never ever ever getting back together. Like ever. #weeee."
Although she never said his name, everyone knew who the blonde beauty was referring to. "I am not going to stay quiet anymore. You wronged me for the last time. You guys all know exactly what I'm talking about."

Shane and his ex Lisa Schwartz are the cutest former couple ever! Despite the fact that they film videos together and are clearly still friends, they weren't always on such good terms. After Shane came out as bisexual, it took the redhead a little while to adjust... especially after rumors surfaced around that Shane had once cheated on his GF with a man.
Although Anna Martemucci tweeted "I could have sworn I saw Shane in the midst of being in love with a man," which started the whole thing, she eventually retracted the statement. Who knows!

In April 2016, rumors started surfacing that Madison was cheating on her Viner BF Jack Gilinsky. All it took was one photo to convince fans that the "All For Love" singer was stepping out on her boyfriend. That pic was of the brunette's friend D Phoenix sitting with Madison's legs on top of him and his hand on her thigh. The caption read, "How We Livin," and he tagged the Vine star (who was on tour at the time) in the photo, which didn't help with all of the cheating speculation.
The picture was quickly taken down, but the damage was pretty much done. Madison eventually took to Twitter to address the allegations and claimed she was texting Jack in the photo and she would NEVER cheat on him. Fingers crossed this cheating rumor is NOT true.

In 2015, Sam admitted to having an AshleyMadison.com account, which was a major shock to fans of his YouTube channel, which he runs with his wife Nia Rader. The 30 year old devout Christian confirmed that he did pay for the site, which was geared towards people who were in committed relationships and wanted to have an affair.
In his confession video he explained that although he had the intention of cheating he "never" met anyone on the site. "She has forgiven me for this mistake that I made in opening the account," he said with Nia sitting by his side. "I've sought forgiveness from God and he's forgiven me," he added.

The vlogging couple of Austin and Brittany Null shocked their fans in January 2016 when they released a video about the man being unfaithful. This revealing vid came after after several disturbing videos of the father and husband masturbating hit the Internet, all of which he was apparently sending to a woman he met online. Although he said he never physically cheated on Brittany, Austin explained that he had been interacting with the person for about five months.
He explained that he received R-rated photos of a woman to his e-mail and instead of clicking out of them and reporting them as spam he started a secret affair. He told his wife eventually, and she forgave him, but it wasn't until the dirty videos and photos were released to the public that they told their fans.

In January 2016, Onision (whose real name is Gregory Jackson) and his wife Lainey (a.k.a. Laineybot) announced that they were separating due to a cheating scandal. The gamer uploaded a video called "I Betrayed My Wife" shortly after the announcement, and explained that he cheated on his wife with her girlfriend... yep, you read that right!
Lainey is bisexual, and she and her hubby had an open relationship. Things went south, however, when he crossed the line with Billie Dawn and fondled her and gave her a sensual massage. Once he told his wife about his actions, they decided to take a break, but eventually got back together.
