Why People Think a One Direction Guy is Back Together with His Longtime GF

by: on | in Celebrities | No Comments

We’ll never forget the moment when Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder announced their breakup back in May 2015. Sure, they were very young at the time, but Elournor was dating for so long that we honestly thought they’d be in it for life. Sometimes things don’t work out, though, and all parties moved on pretty easily. But you know what they say — what’s meant to be, will be.

The 25-year-old and Eleanor’s lookalike Danielle Campbell called it quits about a month ago, and One Direction fans think they have evidence that he’s COMPLETELY over it and ready to be back with his ex. First of all, the singer re-followed 24-year-old on Instagram about two weeks ago, and when she returned the favor yesterday, he seemingly went through her page to like a photo that’s MONTHS old.

~Coincidentally~ enough, the 14-week-old picture that Louis liked was of Eleanor wearing a Titanic hoodie that’s incredibly similar to the one he was seem rockin’ on the same day.

Needless to say, fans are pretty convinced that Louis and Eleanor are either back together, or very close to that point.

Ehhhh, we’re not sure. On one hand, matching clothing items HAVE given us insight in the past, but it’s not like Elounor was seen wearing the exact same hoodie or anything. Also, think about how many IG likes you throw around each day — are you dating all those people? Nope! Time will tell, we guess.

________
Breakups happen, but so do makeups! Here are 9 couples that split and got back together in the past:

Cody Simpson & Gigi Hadid

The cute teens first hooked up in June 2013, originally disappointing his young fans, but they appeared to get over it once they realized Cogi(? Gidy?) was the real deal. Then, in May 2014, word got out that the Codester and his girlfriend of nearly a year at the time had called it quits...

...that is, until a month later when they reportedly got back together. Gigi confirmed the news at the 2014 American Music Awards, saying, "I am back with Cody. He is a great guy. I think the first time we were together, our schedules got in the way, but now we are taking the time to be together and make it work." They even got another music video under their belts for his single, "Flower."

Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake

Shortly after his 3+-year relationship with Cameron Diaz fizzled out, Justin was rumored to hook up with Jessica for the first time.

That hook-up then turned into a 4-year relationship... until March 2011 when they called it quits, but remained amicable. He even told Vanity Fair at the time that Jessica was "the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, O.K.?... I don't want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me — for instance, her."

Three months later, the couple was back on, full steam ahead. Then came engagement, then came wedding and now there's a baby on the way!!!

John Mayer & Katy Perry

Okay, so we're sure you didn't forget about all their splits, but still.

June 2012 marked the beginning of John and Katy's tumultuous relationship. By March 2013, everything appeared to go downhill... until June of that same year. That summer, John claimed Katy is "more incredible than I ever thought."

Oh, and who could forget the couple's duet, "Who You Love, which hit the Internet that August? That should spell long-term relaysh, right? WRONG. In February 2014, it was announced that the two broke everything off once again...

Now, though, people seem to think they're an item again, considering he was spotted with the singer after her Super Bowl performance this year, and he didn't deny it when Andy Cohen referred to Katy as his girlfriend in February 2015. Will they finally commit to a life together? We'll see...

Tristan Klier & Bella Thorne

After two years together, the cuties parted ways in August 2014, and it wasn't exactly friendly. When fans asked Bella about the split, she said there was a little trouble in paradise when it came to "honesty." Tristan soon followed up with his own confirmation via Instagram, stating that he'd "never forget it."

Two months later, Bristan appeared to be back on when they attended the Los Angeles premiere of her movie, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day — arm in arm. Then he asked her to attend his homecoming dance, which she publicly responded with a proud 'YES!' D'aw.

Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green

The couple initially met on the set of the sitcom Hope & Faith in 2004. She revealed to New York Times Magazine, "I liked him right away. Everyone was around the monitor watching a scene, and Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction. It was like magic."

While they seem to have a rockstar marriage now — and two babies! — it was a long road to happiness. They got engaged two years after they first met, but called off the wedding before deciding to get re-engaged nearly a year and a half later. In the interim, she had a fling with Transformers co-star Shia LaBeouf. Wow.

Rachel Bilson & Hayden Christensen

Post-split with The O.C. co-star Adam Brody in 2006, Rachel linked up with Jumper love interest Hayden in 2007. They proceeded to be all sorts of adorable, even after they announced their engagement in December 2008.

However, they quietly called off their engagement in August 2010. The split lasted for about three months — in that timeframe, it was rumored that she dated Jake Gyllenhaal, but that's getting a little off track — until they rekindled their romance.

Now, they're definitely stronger than ever as the couple's daughter, Briar Rose, was born last November.

Scott Disick & Kourtney Kardashian

Do we really need to go into every detail on this one? You watched everything unfold on TV, for crying out loud! But, if Mason, Penelope and Reign have anything to say about it, we'd say they're on really good terms now. *wink wink*

P!nk & Carey Hart

In 2008, P!nk's reps confirmed that she and her husband of two years at the time, Carey, were separated. P!nk then followed up with a blog post, stating, "One never knows the future, but mine and Carey's just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now." She even penned "So What" about the demise of their relationship.

By January 2009, though, they were reunited. So he cameos in the music video for the single! And, as of June 2011, they have a baby, a daughter named Willow Sage.

Tish & Billy Ray Cyrus

Miley Cyrus' parents were actually going to get a divorce. But, in 2013, they decided to give their marriage another go after couples therapy.
