If you thought the s*itstorm that was Jake Paul and Alissa Violet‘s relationship ended in February, you’d be wrong, friends. While you may think that everything that needed to be said was said during their angry YouTube/Snapchat/Twitter beef — which even Bella Thorne believed to be too much information — at the end of last month, it appears that at least one of ’em is not ready to leave the past in the past.
Recently, the 20-year-old blonde beauty tweeted the following note about her ex:
I feel sorry for anyone who gets with my ex… that fool is gonna love my ass forever pic.twitter.com/kKCVzlIEL7
— Alissa Violet (@AlissaViolet) March 15, 2017
Note that she doesn’t mention Jake, or anyone for that matter, by name… but her Twitter followers seem to be under the notion that that’s exactly who she’s referring to in her post:
@AlissaViolet Jake is like obsessed w u it's insane

@AlissaViolet JAKE SNAKE

Keep in mind that Alissa once claimed that she and Jake (a.k.a. Jalissa) weren’t “real.” People took care to remind her of that:

@AlissaViolet what ex? You said you never dated Jake so…

Someone even reminded her that he’s one of the reasons why she’s (sorta) famous:

Yeah… Alissa didn’t like that:
I hate people who think they made someone's career. Like no bish, you didn't give them their personality and force people to follow them 😒

So far, Jake’s kept his mouth shut.
2016 was a big year in YouTube couple breakups. Here are 10 that we STILL can’t believe:
Colleen Ballinger & Joshua Evans
Rumors swirled that Colleen and Josh were going through a rough patch in their marriage after the couple didn't post pictures together for the whole summer, but the vlogging couple didn't confirm the news of their divorce until the end of September.
"We have always had a very rocky relationship since the beginning," the creator of Miranda Sings emotionally said about her decision to end the marriage. "We've always butted heads. We've always fought, ever since we met really. It's never been a perfect relationship."
The 32-year-old also uploaded a video telling his side of the story, making it seem like the divorce was all Colleen's doing.
He said: "I want it to be known that I am not choosing this divorce. I don't want this divorce. I want her, but I truly believe she thinks she is making the right decision right now. I was faithful the entire time. It's nothing like that at all, in any way. I would never, ever break that trust with her — so that’s not anything like that."
Jeana Smith & Jesse Wellens
The faces of the YouTube channels PrankvsPrank and BFvsGF were together for more than 10 years, so to say that their decision to break up was shocking would be putting it lightly.
"For some while now, we've been having a lot of issues in our relationship and it's been hard. A lot of stuff goes on that we don't record, of course…" the 34-year-old man started in a video called 'A NEW CHAPTER' posted in late May. "Jeana and I are going to take a break from vlogging [and] we're going to take a break from each other… we're just going to take some time off."
The couple still posts videos together occasionally and remain good friends, but are not romantically involved.
Trisha Paytas & Sean van der Wilt
Trisha and Sean technically broke up twice in 2016, but their most recent split was definitely the most dramatic. In a series of videos she posted starting on December 10, the blonde accused the choreographer of cheating on her — with another man.
"He didn’t tell me he was going out to a club, he didn't tell me he was going out with another girl," she said. That other woman turned out to have a girlfriend herself, however, and was very confused because she saw Sean "hold hands and kiss [a] guy" at the club.
The 36-year-old responded to Trisha's claims that he was gay by — wait for it — threatening to sue her if she didn't take the video down. The lawsuit never went through, but the 28-year-old is still visibly heartbroken about the whole situation.
Brittney Lee Saunders & Dylan Scott
Brittney and Dylan's breakup not only shocked viewers, but it also shocked the YouTuber greatly."Two days ago I had the person who I thought was the love of my life tell me he doesn't love me anymore," the 23-year-old wrote in a now-deleted post on her Facebook page in early November. "To me, that's nothing but a cowardly excuse for whatever is actually going on. It really sucks to pour your heart and soul into someone to have them all of a sudden be able to say, 'I don't care.' Times like this are extremely hard, but life throws these curve-balls at us and I like to believe that from things like this, we only become stronger."
Eva Gutowski & Alex Hayes
While Eva and Alex are friends now, their breakup in August was pretty dramatic. The 22-year-old announced the split by posting a bunch of shady tweets that basically said Alex was only in the relationship to get famous.
"Done dating someone who only wanted me for followers. Life is too short to be in a messy relationship. Don't trust everyone you meet. I want to say I'm heart broken, but it's not even worth it. I just want to move on. Let's all be happy and move on quickly please. For me. I don't want drama, I just want to finally be happy again. I hope everyone's having a great day. But just because a relationship looks perfect in photos, doesn't mean it's perfect. So don't ship everything you see in a photo. Let's just laugh at how stupid I was for putting up with all of that for so long...I don't lie to my viewers. Ever. I can't let my friends (aka my viewers) idolize destructive, hurtful people."
The beauty guru's fans immediately came for the 18-year-old and the cyberbullying got so bad that he had to address Eva's allegations in a video.
"here are always two sides to a story," he said. "Before everyone can be so quick to judge, you have to think. Just because somebody has a very big online following on social media, not everything they say is true."
Emma Blackery & Luke Cutforth
Despite the fact that Emma and Luke broke up after dating for over three years, there was no drama leading up to the split — "It was just our time, man. That's all. We barely saw each other," the singer said.
Emma went on to tweet, "Luke is still my best friend in the entire world. I still love him and I always will."
Baby Ariel & Zach Clayton
While Zach and Ariel are both super young and only dated for a few months, their breakup broke the hearts of musical.ly fans everywhere.
"Hey guys! It's Zach and Ariel. We wanted to let all of you know that Ariel and I love each other so much, but it's gotten too hard for us to be together with all the distance between us, our hectic schedules, and preparing for our tours, so we have decided its best to just be friends," both parties wrote on their Instagram pages in the middle of July. "We care about each other so much and will still be the same best of friends we have always been! We don't want you guys to be sad because we feel closer than ever and want you to feel that way towards us too thank you for supporting us, it was tough to do this but we will forever cherish the moments we spent together! Love you guys."
Savannah Montano & Jessey Stevens
Sav and Jay didn't directly say they broke up at the end of August, but once fans realized the 20-year-old deleted all traces of the 24-year-old from her Instagram page, they knew something was up. Pair that with a tweet that read "I have a talent for feeling too much when I shouldn't and nothing when I should" from the girl and "Lesson I learned, never pour your heart out to someone whose glass is already full" from the guy and the news was basically solidified.
Jessica Clements & Erik Conover
After four years of dating, this YouTube couple announced their breakup in October 2016. While nothing necessarily bad led to their split, the video site did contribute to their decision to separate.
"I would by lying if I didn't say that YouTube and daily vlogging was a big reason why we grew apart," the 27-year-old said. "I am warning any couple who has ever thought about picking up a camera and filming your days every single day — do not do it."
We bet Jesse and Jeana would agree.
Shannon Taylor & Tyler Hagen
Just days after Shannon confirmed that she and Tyler had broken up, the 24-year-old announced that he'd no longer be active on social media.
"Hey guys..I decided to let you know, I will no longer be active on social media," he wrote on Instagram. "I will still post to YouTube and that is only for you and myself. I am going through a lot in my life right now. I have decided, with the events currently going on in our country and in our world, the most important thing for me right now is building my relationship with Jesus Christ. Social Media appears to me, to be a tool to spout hatred. I want to part ways with it, and have no form of contact with it outside of posting my music and ideas to my YouTube for the fans that care about my art. In my eyes, there is no 'fix' for what is happening in our country. People are not going to 'just stop' the madness that is happening. The riots, the destruction, the racism…it is all evil and I wish to part ways from all of it, and remove myself from this system. I wish you all the best, and want to thank you for all of the support you have given me over the years. If you wish to see more from me, again, I will be on YouTube only. I will do my best to spread nothing but love and compassion in my future videos, and nothing less. We all need it."
