We love ourselves a good pair of celebrity roommates — lately, we’ve been kinda obsessing over them. The Disney Channel stars who used to live together, the CW actresses and actors who bunked up once upon a time… Like, can you imagine how cool it was when Supernatural hotties Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles used to live together? We would’ve legit KILLED to be a fly on a wall during that period.
So, this week, we looked into personal lives of the stars of Fox teen television series. And, let us tell you, there are far more pairs of talents from the network that lived together IRL than you thought. We’re sure you knew all about Lea Michele & Dianna Agron, but can you say you knew all of these prior? We don’t think so. (NOTE: The following list is all of platonic duos, so if you’re looking for celebrity couples that lived together, you’re in the wrong place.)
Lea Michele & Dianna Agron
They may've played mortal enemies fighting over the same guy on Glee, but in 2009, the brunette and the blonde were roomies IRL.
"We have these smackdowns at work and come home and are like, 'Wasn't it so funny when we were fighting today? Let's make cookies!'" Lea joked to New York ,agazine. "It works out. We're both vegans. Well, I was. I slowly dipped back into cheese."
Kevin McHale & Jenna Ushkowitz
By Season 2 of Glee, the on-screen (and rumored off-screen) couple played roommates when the cameras weren't rolling.
According to Naya Rivera, Kevin & Jenna's home became the go-to hangout spot; they referred to it as the Love Nest. "When Chord Overstreet joined the show, we brought him to this sex den of a house and initiated him by making him play spin the bottle — while wearing a onesie," she wrote. "The Love Nest was also where we got one of our castmates high for the first time, or at least tried to."
Speaking of Chord...
Glen Powell & Chord Overstreet
The blondie boy who portrayed Sam Evans on Glee also found himself a Fox roommate: Glen Powell.
If you don't know the actor by name, perhaps you know him by his alter ego, Chad Radwell — you know, from Scream Queens!
Glee & Scream Queens creator Ryan Murphy told E! News, "[co-creator] Ian Brennan said, 'I know this guy Glen Powell, who's roommates with Chord Overstreet, and I've been out with him and I've seen him do sort of improv stuff. I think he would be great.' That led to me meeting Glen, and as soon as he read it you were like, 'Oh, my god. Where have you been all my life?'"
***Cory Monteith & Dustin Milligan
This one gets a bunch of asterisks because while Cory is of Fox fame (from Glee, obvi), his roomie, Dustin, isn't. HOWEVER...
Dustin's longtime roommate after Cory turned out to be one of the late Glee alum's future co-stars, Vanessa Lengies (a.k.a. Sugar Motta).
"Us Canadians stick together out here!" Vanessa exclaimed. "Dustin Milligan was my roommate for years and years and years in Los Angeles and before that he was roommates with Cory Monteith."
"Cory invited me to the original screening for the pilot of Glee where we joked about how much fun it would be to work together," she explained, "so when I showed up on set he just howled with laughter."
So Dustin has not one, but TWO direct connections to the network.
Bret Harrison & Adam Brody
Did you know that your beloved Seth Cohen actually lived with one of his co-stars from The O.C.?? Sadly, it wasn't Ben McKenzie, but still.
Adam bunked up with Bret Harrison, who appeared on a couple episodes of the series. He's primarily known for his roles on other Fox TV shows, such as Grounded for Life, The Loop and Breaking In.
The pair also lived with Kyle Howard, but he's primarily a TBS star.
Kara DioGuardi & Paula Abdul
It's hard to believe that the former American Idol judges were ever in such a good place to live with each other, but that's exactly what happened.
Before Kara ever joined the singing competition, she stayed at Paula's house off and on... for a year! PA even said Kara was "the best roommate I ever had... but she walks in her sleep!"
