We know we can get pretty worked up over celebrity couple breakups. Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev, Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens… The list could go on and on. But, sometimes, there are some things that we get even more worked up over: celebrity best friend breakups.
The rift between lifelong BFFs Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato hurt us on a personal level, as did the feud between Louis Tomlinson & Zayn Malik. But, in their cases, at least there aren’t any hateful songs written about the drama. (Though, there were rumors about Louis penning a One Direction tune about Zayn’s betrayal.) Yeah… that is so NOT the case in these particular instances. Here are six musicians who dissed their famous former friend in a song:
SONG: "Bad Blood"
FORMER FRIEND: Katy Perry
"Did you think we'd be fine? // Still got scars in my back from your knife // So don't think it's in the past // These kind of wounds they last and they last"
Katy allegedly stole Taylor's backup dancers — that's what their entire feud is reportedly based on! (Though, we sense that their shared ex-boyfriend, John Mayer, had something to do with it, too.)
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," Taylor said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"
"I tried to talk to her about it, and she wouldn't speak to me," KP recalled on a 2017 edition of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. "I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me, and I'm like, 'Okay, cool, cool, cool, that's how you want to deal with it? Karma!'"

SONG: "Swish Swish"
FORMER FRIEND: Taylor Swift
"Your game is tired // You should retire // You're 'bout cute as // An old coupon expired // And karma's not a liar // She keeps receipts"
After Kim Kardashian ~famously~ released T.Swift's phone call with Kanye West — the one in which she APPROVED of his song, "Famous" — Katy tweeted, "Time, the ultimate truth teller." So when she croons "karma's not a liar, she keeps receipts," you KNOW who/what she's referring to.
Also, that tweet, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..." — yeah, there's definitely a connection between that and another "Swish Swish" lyric: "A tiger // Don't lose no sleep // Don't need opinions // From a shellfish or a sheep"
"But what I want to say is that I'm ready for that B.S. to be done," the "Bon Appetit" singer said on Carpool Karaoke. "Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, there's going to be a reaction, and trust me, Daddy, there's going to be a reaction."
It's time to take the beef off the grill, ladies.

SONG: "All Bad"
FORMER FRIEND: Taylor Swift
"It's another, if it ain't one thing // Instigators, like pouring fire on propane // The wrong thing, they be worried about // Ooh, you know females // And how they like to run their mouths"
It's hard to believe Taylor and Justin used to be friends, but it's true. JB even pranked T.Swift on the reboot of Punk'd. But that friendship's long over, mostly due to his on-again, off-again relationship with Tay's bestie, Selena Gomez; Taylor reportedly didn't approve.
So, the Biebs issued an indirect response to the blonde singer's haterade via "All Bad. He admitted that "All Bad" was about the people who interfered with his relationship with his then-bae, and confirmed that it was about Taylor, specifically, by retweeting a fan on Twitter who said as much (but later undid the retweet).

FORMER FRIEND: Selena Gomez
"I got two, ooh, ooh letters for you // One of them's F and the other one's U"
While we don't believe that MiCy's track was written in dedication to Selly, we do believe that one performance of the tune took aim at her.
While performing "FU" on stage in Milan, Italy, the Hannah Montana alum spotted someone in the audience holding up a cutout of the Wizards of Waverly Place alum, who famously dated Nick Jonas after Miley did. She then proceeded to snatch it up, sing with it... and then toss it away while crooning, "I don't really have much to say // I was over it the second that I saw her name."
SONG: "Waitin' for You"
FORMER FRIEND: Miley Cyrus
"So when the lights go down // And the sun hits ground // You should know that I won't back down (I'll be waitin' for you) // Knuckles out // And the guard in my mouth // When you're hungry for the next round (I'll be waitin' for you)"
There's no proof that Demi's 2015 song is about her former BFF, Miley Cyrus... but it's heavily rumored to be about her.
"This song shows a side of me that I've never shown before, and that's 'Don't mess with me,'" she said in an interview with The Sun. "Let's just say not a lot of people try to pull that sh*t with me. But it's gonna happen. When you get two singers who both have 30 million fans it's inevitable. It's like high school. But I respect bad b*tches like Rihanna and Nicki Minaj."
Demi & Miley both had around 30 million Twitter followers at the time, so...

SONG: "Diamonds Dancing"
FORMER FRIEND: Nicki Minaj
"How we let it get like this I don't know // But that n**** can't save your soul, nah // Doing me dirty, you doing me dirty"
Although Drake & Nicki seem to be on good terms now, there was a point in which the labelmates weren't the best of friends, courtesy of her now-ex-boyfriend, Meek Mill.
Drake reportedly took aim at MM in "Diamonds Dancing," after Meek Mill shaded him first, plus broke up his friendship with Nicki. And Nicki was a target as well.
"I haven't even heard from you, not a single word from you // Ungrateful // I'm too good for you, too good for you // You should go back to a perfect match for you, unstable"
Thankfully, all that shiz is over and done with.
