We just got off the phone with these 5 dudes (we wish we could capture their accents in this interview!) and we’re still sweating a little just knowing how hot the guys on the other end of the phone are. These cuties are already huge in the UK, but they’re about to be just as major here in the US once they start their American tour with Big Time Rush (!!!) in February and release their album, “Up All Night,” in March. So if you’re not already, it’s time to get acquainted, ladies.
What do Zayn, Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam have to say about BTR, Justin Bieber, American girls and their dream girl? Good thing we got the scoop! Oh, and they may or may not have talked about bras…
Teen.com: We are SO happy to have you in the US! Why do you think your American fans will love your album, “Up All Night?”
Harry: I think what the American fans will like about our album is it’s quite fun and everyone in America seems really fun. I think it’s the kind album you can put on in a party, you know?
Teen.com: Yeah! Is this tour going to be your first time in the states?
One Direction: We’ve been out to LA to record the album last time, so some of our songs were actually recorded out there. This will be our first tour in America, which is massively exciting.
Teen.com: Cool! So what’s your favorite thing about America?
One Direction: The passion for being American is pretty good. Everyone in America is so proud to be an American. The food’s good, the weather’s good. Everyone’s really polite, everyone’s always really happy. In America, whatever you need, you can get it. Places that don’t deliver in the UK deliver in America. American girls are beautiful. They’re really hot. Their accents are hot.
Teen.com: Um, no, your accents are hot! Is there anything that’s better in England?
One Direction: Uh, that’s a tough question. Footbol is better in England. I mean, soccer.
Teen.com: So you’re touring with Big Time Rush! Do you watch their show on Nickelodeon?
One Direction I like cartoons. But Zayn watches Big Time Rush…
Teen.com: What other teen shows are you guys into? Glee, maybe?
Zayn: Yeah, I used to watch Glee, I thought it was great. They performed on The X-Factor, so we got to see them live.
Teen.com: Other than BTR, what other teen acts would you love to collaborate with?
One Direction: Bruno Mars. Great songs, great stage presence, an unbelievable performer. His vocal is absolutely flawless.
Teen.com: You know he’s nominated for a bunch of Grammys, right? Who are you rooting for at the Grammys?
One Direction: Bruno Mars and Coldplay. Katy Perry is good.
Louis: I LOVE Katy Perry! I think she’s great.

last i checked, it doesnt matter where in the world they are from. sure you guys spent money to vote for them on x factor, but what about the money we’re spending to see them on tour, buy their songs on itunes, and there album in stores. just cuz they are from london, does not mean “they are english girls property” and i am sure that they will agree with that. Okay, I know you think that you have “dibs” because the English girls were the first to watch them sing at their auditions, get put together as a band, make video diaries on the stairs, and sing, ‘Torn’, for the first time together, after Louis got back from the hospital, from his sea urchin sting. Heck, I’m AMERICAN and I know as much as some English girls do. If you truly loved the boys and wanted to see them live out their dreams, why would you hold them back from American fans? Directioners are EVERYWHERE. Whether it be America, Belgium, Norway, or the UK.. you have no right to call “dibs” . You don’t see Canadian girls saying “Sorry English and American girls, but Justin Bieber is ours, dibs.” This is why the Beliebers are a family and the One Direction fans are just Directioners. Because they don’t let new fans in. If they don’t know who “Kevin the Pigeon” is, everyone pushes them away. Instead of pushing them away, why not TALK to them and show them all of the ‘amazayn’ 1D moments? You should support the boys in anything they do or don’t support them at all. UK is their home and they will always feel connected to all of the English girls, they LIVE there, just like Niall will always be connected to his Irish roots. The American girls barely ever get chances to meet them, and you’re getting uptight because they’re finally coming to America? Harry will always be “I’m Harry Styles, I’m 16 from Holmes Chapel in Chesire.” Louis will always be “The Swagmasta from Doncasta.” Whether you like it or not, they are becoming big EVERYWHERE. Everywhere you turn, you’re going to see Americans, etc. do the Inbetweeners dance and shouting lyrics everywhere. All I ask is to loosen up and watch them live their dreams, anywhere they go. They deserve it.
