It may be Jaden Smith‘s birthday today — he’s now 15! — but we’re here to talk about a different member of the family, Willow Smith. The “Sugar & Spice” singer is back with more new music, but she’s not alone…

Along with Mike Vargas, the 12-year-old directed the music video for “Summer Fling,” as part of her side project, Melodic Chaotic, a collaboration with DJ MVSIC Fabrega. Jaden says of his younger sister’s endeavor, “Live Up For The Ones Who Don’t Have The Voice To Speak It We Praise You Willow.” Watch above!

The bright sun and the blue water
We fight less and love harder
You tell me that I’m the one
I tell you it’s just for fun

We walk the beach at midnight
And watch the stars and the clear skies
We both say I love you
But it’s alright

Hello umm
It’s nice to see you here, I was…
Wondering if, umm… I can give you my number maybe
Oh, you’re here for the summer?

Oh, that’s nice, maybe we can hang out sometime
I will give my number alright? We can hang out
This will be, this will be fun
Alright, bye

The bright sun and the blue water
We fight less and love harder
You tell me that I’m the one
I tell you it’s just for fun

We walk the beach at midnight
And watch the stars and the clear skies
We both say I love you
But it’s alright

I write you a song, play your guitar
You and me both sing along
We hold hands for too long

If you wanna talk, I guess that’s alright
If you wanna walk under the night sky
I don’t really care ’cause we got tonight
Oh baby we

It’s just a couple months
But we do it anyway
It’s only for the summer
But we do it anyway
It’s just a couple months
But we do it anyway
We do it anyway, da-da-do it anyway

I got those cold drinks for those hot nights
You can hang out with us if you like that
Got long hair with them short sides
I like your style, you’re from the north side
Seashells and palm trees
I call you, you call me

Talk all night, mob all day
Call you up, boy I’m on my way
On the beach again
Never thought that this will end
Dinner by the water
Wishing that summertime was longer, uh
Don’t really care what we do tonight
Goodnight kiss ’til the mood is right
Laying by the beach with you
Wishing this will never end

It’s just a couple months,
But we do it anyway
It’s only for the summer
But we do it anyway
It’s just a couple months
But we do it anyway
We do it anyway, da-da-do it anyway

Hello, you know
It was nice to see you tonight
Laying by the beach, and uh just
Chilling with you was good
I’ll miss you, you know thinking
That we can call each other soon
You know, it was nice

Remember the Whole Willow Smith Tongue Ring Debacle?

Look, °̩’m 13. I’m One Year Older Then Willow. Shε’s 12 αnd being a teen is over-rated. °̩ was waiting to be a teenager when i was younger but now that I’m Finally a teen °̩ miss being younger A LOT. I think Willow should treasure being a “Pre-teen” so to speak. The Song Hαs a nice tune but I would rather hαvε someone older singing it. With Trey Smith, Moises Arias & Jaden Smith in it, it was to mature. Maybe The Song would be better if there was no 20 year old guy she falls “inlove” with, No wig & DEFINITELY no british accent

Willow is just a young artist trying new stuff, I’m not much of a fan of the song or her but cut her some slack she is 12, don’t judge her. Face the fact that she is growing up and she apparently hangs out with an older group of kids so she doesn’t really see nothing wrong with it.

I think the song was too inappropriate for her age. She is 12 and hanging out with a bunch of older teenagers..and the guy she is having a “Summer fling” with is like ten years older than her. Just wow..wow….

Ok this song was ok but I honestly hated the echo. The outfit was alright but at the age of twelve you shouldn’t really be in “love”. The guy looked ten times older then her and why would she be hanging out with a bunch of older teens. I thought the lyrics were a bit …inappropriate. I think she was trying to be older then she is.

why does the dude who is her summer fling look about twenty? That is straight mo status.

That was horrible. She;s trying to be British why? And you can tell it’s a wig, but why is she wearing it? and is that Moises Arias? This music video and song are both bad. I didnt like it.

Honestly, I didn’t like it. She doesn’t look 12 and the whole video doesn’t reflect her young age at all. This made me think that she just wants to grow up already :( Not to be rude, but her hair ( the color and cut) is terrible on her. Also, she isn’t British so why in the world would she just talk like that in a music video. To cut it short, I hated the video but the song was kinda cute…

I honestly did not like it one bit.

It was pretty horrid and just to say what is she trying with that hair no offense! Lol

This is an awful song. I couldn’t listen to it the whole way through. Willow doesn’t have a good voice for this and the echoing doesn’t help the song.
