Emotions have been on high since Cory Monteith was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver this past weekend. The Glee actor’s co-stars, like Mark Salling and Harry Shum, Jr., have spoken briefly about the tragedy. Now, his last director’s doing the same, and has offered up a clip from the late talent’s final film.

In a Yahoo! Movies exclusive, filmmaker Josh C. Waller admits Cory was both “looking back to troubled times and looking forward to life after Glee while working on [McCanick],” where he portrays a violent and drug-addicted street hustler named Simon Weeks.

Still to come is footage from another one of his last works, All the Wrong Reasons, alongside The Mortal InstrumentsKevin Zegers, who became tight with Cory on-set. After learning of the tragic events, Kevin posted, “My heart is broken.” He later added, “I’ve never lost a friend this close. This feels like a mistake.”

So far, neither production has a release date, but you can watch a clip of Cory in McCanick above, then be sure to stay tuned for more details.
