Surprise, Shadowhunters! While Jamie Campbell Bower‘s last treat was all about his new music — watch and listen to “Better Man” here — this time around, he’s giving fans an extended taste of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

Alongside co-star Lily Collins, Jamie introduces a brand-spanking-new clip of their characters’ first meeting. The 5+-minute-long video starts off with heroine Clary’s mother (played by Lena Headey) hearing a knock on her apartment door. But before she answers, old ‘friend’ Emil Pangborn busts it open, knocking her down in the process. That footage is soon followed by Clary and Jace talking in an alley. Our favorite moment is when Clary exclaims, “You’re a killer. A cold-blooded killer,” and Jace responds, “As opposed to a peace-loving killer?” Such a sarcastic mofo — but we love him!

For all of that and more, watch the clip above, and make sure to tweet any questions you might have for the cast at #TeenMortalInst — we’ll be interviewing them at the junket and premiere!

That’s deffinatly not how it happened in the book!! :(
She was supposed to kill the ravnor demon by using the tracker she stole from jace! And the demon wasn’t a dog! And jaces hair wasn’t constantly wind blown like seriously! I love the books but I think the movies might end up being a slight disappointment. I will still watch them and who knows if ill like them but I wish they were more like the books
