Calling it right now — X-Men: Days of Future Past will be the best movie sequel we’ve seen in years (okay, maybe besides Catching Fire). Five months after the first trailer dropped, Twentieth Century Fox revealed its second full-length trailer for the follow-up film to X-Men: First Class, and it’s more than we could’ve ever hoped for.

In over 2 1/2 minutes of footage, you’ll see fan favorites from the the original trilogy, like Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Ellen Page, First ClassJennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult, as well as newbies like Evan Peters, kicking some major butt as mutants are tapped to go extinct.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 23, 2014. Is it on your must-see list? Check out the first-look stills in the gallery below, then chat about it in the comments!
