Big Time Rush is ready for their third album! Teen recently caught up with the guys on set of their hit Nickelodeon show, and we chatted with them not only about their new music, but their upcoming tour, working with Cher Lloyd, and much more!
When we asked about their forthcoming album, Kendall Schmidt told us, “We’re very excited for this next album because, I mean, honestly we wrote about 99 percent of it,” while James Maslow added, “The new album is really just focusing on writing really great pop music.” He continued, “I know the four of us spent a couple months really honing in and just writing some [songs] with each other, individually, and we picked up a pile of 50, 60 songs and narrowed it down to about 12, 15 that we’re really excited about.”
The guys went on two different tours in 2012, and it looks like they’ll be another for 2013! Logan Henderson told us, “We’re in talks about the tour right now, so we’re not completely…” as Kendall added, “Set on when we’re starting, but I think we’re going to go on tour.” Logan said it’s going to be “a lot of fun,” while Kendall talked about getting inspiration for how it will all look, adding that Ed Sheeran is a live performer he looks up to.
