2012 U.S. Olympian Aly Raisman may’ve been the one to snag a spot in the gymnastics all-around final this Thursday– sorry, Jordyn Wieber! — but it was Aly’s parents who stole the spotlight during yesterday’s preliminaries. While the gymnast was doing her routine on the uneven bars, her mom and dad, uhh… showed their support — to say the least — from the stands. Watch the most embarrassing parents vid you’ll ever see above! Stick it!!!

I think its really sweet how her parents are cheering her on! I also think it’s pretty hilarious the WAY they’re cheering her on. I can see how in Aly’s perspective, that would be both reassuring and embarassing. Just a little. :) Congrats to Aly though on her gold on floor and bronze on beam! fff

That’s really not that embarassing..I thought all parents were totally into supporting their kids? That’s all they were doing, wanting their child to do and be the best. My parents are like this when I or my sister are playing sports..

I totally agree with you. There’s nothing “embarrassing” about cheering for your kid when she’s made it to the Olympics!

I think Kaitlin means embarrassing in terms of some of the funny movements they make (leaning, swaying, looking away) before she executes some of the moves. Certainly cheering her on is not embarrassing!

Hi Heather, we’re sorry you can’t see it! It still works for us. Taking the article down won’t change much I’m afraid. :(
