If The Perks of Being a Wallflower was any indication, Emma Watson can do more than simply play that know-it-all girl she portrayed in that mega-watt franchise she’s kinda known for, Harry Potter. Need further proof? Look no further than The Bling Ring. In the first-ever teaser trailer for one of the movies we’re most anticipating this year, Em is almost too convincing in her portrayal of a privileged teen who robs celebrities just for fun.
Based on the real-life group of teens who broke into the homes of stars like Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom and Paris Hilton, Nicki (played by Emma) and her friends use the Internet to track down celebs’ whereabouts so they can enter their homes unscathed, and steal jewelry, clothing, and whatever else they can get their hands on.
Other stars in the film include 17 Again‘s Leslie Mann, James Maslow‘s girlfriend, Halston Sage, and Gwen Stefani‘s husband, Gavin Rossdale. The movie hits theaters in the U.S. on June 14, 2013 (limited showings). Is it on your must-see list?
